Thailand: Anti-govt protesters met with police water cannon and tear gas in Bangkok

Subscribe to our channel! Riot police deployed water cannons and tear gas against anti-government protesters, who, in turn, were throwing fireworks towards police lines in Bangkok on Saturday. The clashes followed a large-scale protest held earlier on Saturday near Lumpini Park, Bangkok’s central shopping centre district. Demonstrators were protesting as PM Prayut Chan-o-cha survived a no-confidence vote in Parliament about the government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic and the economy. While the country is currently facing an economic crisis, COVID-19 infections in Thailand remain high, with over 15,900 new positive cases registered solely on Saturday. #Thailand #Bangkok #ThaiProtests Video ID: 20210905-034 Video on Demand: Contact: cd@ Twitter: Facebook:
