Coronation of King George VI (Prince Albert, Duke of York) and Queen Elizabeth (Duchess of York, Queen Mother). London. Title reads - The crowning ceremony within the Abbey. L/S as camera pans down the procession walking up the aisle, M/S of Princess Mary the Princess Royal walking with Princess Elizabeth (later Queen Elizabeth II) and Princess Margaret, she chats to them. M/S of thrones as dignitaries assemble. M/S of Queen Mary walking through, boys carry her train. Queen Elizabeth walks up with ladies carrying her train. M/S as she walks up the steps to chair of estate. L/S pan down knave to Queen. Good M/S of Queen Mary, Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret watching them from balcony. The Queen takes her place and attendants arrange her train. The King makes his way up the aisle with his attendants, he takes his place in front of his chair of estate.
