“Building skills for the real world“ is rephrased as “Equipping teenage students with the excitement and skills to explore their future.“ Get Involved! provides teenagers with a sense of enthusiasm and curiosity to discover the world ahead of them, while also enhancing their linguistic and Super Skills to empower them in shaping their future. The course promotes an inclusive classroom environment, enabling teachers to support each student in reaching their full potential and showcasing their abilities. Each unit in Get Involved! begins with a thought-provoking question, such as “What makes a hero?“ or “Why do people dress up?“ to engage students and encourage participation. Throughout the unit, learners acquire the knowledge, language, and skills to answer the question, culminating in a Collaborative Project at the end of the unit. This project allows students to apply their new language and skills immediately. Joanna Gore, an experienced teacher and teacher trainer, has written a comprehensive article on inclusive teaching. Professor Judit Kormos has authored an academic article that defines and describes specific learning difficulties (SpLD). The “All you need to know about projects“ materials include two complete project lessons, a project mindmap, a poster, and an infographic to assist in setting up successful project classes. Onestopenglish lesson plans are supplemented with an eco infographic to help create lessons that raise student awareness of ESDC. Kate Pickering, a renowned expert in teaching teens and one of the authors of Get Involved! American Edition, leads a video session and podcast that focuses on social and emotional learning and student well-being.
