Another video of the ’Broomhandle’ Mauser - without the stock this time. The barrel being relatively high over your hand tends to increase muzzle rise. Recoil impulse is mild, however. The ammo is Prvi Partizan, the clips were made by DWM. The pistols is a wartime commercial model, made by Mauser in Oberndorf am Neckar - this puts the date of manufacture between 1914 and 1918.
