Poul Høxbro - rhythm bones and bone flute.

Poul Høxbro on rhythm bones and bone flute plays his version of an ancient Norwegian tune known as Gorrlaus or Rammaslag. Bone flute is a traditional Salmatine“gaita“ made of vulture ving bone and goat horn. The bones are traditional Irish, made of cows ribs. The recording was made in April 2014 during a rehearsal in The Ceramic Room at the Irish National Museum for a performance to commemorate Brian Boru’s victory at the Battle of Clontarf in 1014.
