House of Trees seeks to transform the sense of context by bringing that spirit of liveability into its interiors where nature is treated as a building material. We knew we had to come up with a design strategy that could better respond to its undesirable surroundings than to create a ubiquitous hermetic shell. We asked: can we create a great indoor space without having a great outdoor?
