“Mech Idol“ - an A.I. AMV.

Last night, I was in a “let’s-generate-a-bunch-of-stuff-and-see-what-sticks“ kinda moods. And all the generations had one prompt word in common: “Macross. I didn’t even have an outline, or a story of any sort in mind, but when I compiled all the generations together, one the sort of... manifested out of thin air. This is what I came up with: “A long lost human colony on the edge of the galaxy faces an imminent invasion from an expansionist Terran Interstellar Empire. To combat the threat, the colonists employ mechs called “skywardens“, fashioned from ancient technology unearthed on their world.  A retired idol singer/“anti-gravity dancer“ enlists in the colonial defense force as the poster girl for the skywarden squadrons. She quickly rises through the ranks, and even discovers hidden potential in the ancient tech itself.
