Rwanda judgment: James Cleverly suggests government will not leave ECHR for ’political gain’
Tory MPs have demanded urgent new legislation to ignore human rights laws after the Supreme Court ruled that the Government’s Rwanda deportations policy was unlawful.
Danny Kruger, the Tory MP who co-chairs the right-leaning New Conservatives, called for a new law allowing the UK to ignore some European Convention of Human Rights [ECHR] rulings.
