Project TH Discord : Motion Matching - Basic Character Movement Transitioning between Two Character Rotation Modes, Velocity Direction & Look at Direction To improve Character state and emotional nuance in animation, Project TH utilizes Motion Matching, a technique showcased by Ubisoft and implemented in games such as The Last of Us 2 and the FIFA series. As modern-day animation systems get increasingly complex, the cost of maintaining the numerous segmented states rises, making QC (Quality Control) amongst collaborators difficult. EVR Studio implemented Motion Matching on top of Unreal Engine with our own set of Dance cards to achieve natural motion in various situations.
