In Residence: Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance

Inspired by the natural stones that litter the beaches of his native Brittany, the home of French designer Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance is a minimalist paradise located in an historic building in the French capital. The pale, grey interiors are filled with family mementos and objects from his design practice, including the works of his sculptor father. Duchaufour-Lawrance’s work is guided by the physical demands of raw materials, simple shapes, and sculptural forms. His luxuriously uncomplicated home reflects these influences, bringing traditional carved furniture and anthropological trinkets together with slab-like metal and raw wood. An emerging name on the international design scene, Noé has produced work for brands including Hermes, Dior and Ligne Roset. His architectural spaces include boutiques for Montblanc and select interiors of London’s much Instagrammed restaurant, Sketch. ___ Subscribe to NOWNESS here: Like NOWNESS on Facebook:
