Morro Castle Aftermath (1934)

Full title reads: “MORRO CASTLE AFTERMATH - Further pictures taken on board ill-fated liner.“ New Jersey, United States of America (USA). Fire destroys American liner “Morro Castle“ which was destroyed by fire only eight miles off the US coast, lies on shore, people looking on. Liner is still smoking - voiceover says the fire is still raging inside it. Pan across the liner showing terrible destruction the fire caused. A man hanging on rope slowly moving towards liner - a cameraman who is the first person to go onboard the tragic ship. Various shots (taken by the cameraman seen going onboard) showing destruction onboard the ship. Various shots of debris and charred decks, chairs life boats etc. There is still a lot of smoke around. Cameraman returning from the charred ship. A man, surrounded by crowds walking towards the camera. He is the ship’s Chief Officer who is to answer many question before the cause of fire is to be established. More shots of remains of Morro Castle lying on shore.
