GEOPIER X1 System

The Geopier X1® system is a “Drill and Fill” solution combining replacement and displacement techniques. Ideal for non-caving soils, the X1 pier construction uses a drill to remove unsuitable soils and allows the site team to visually inspect the pier cavity to address any changes in ground conditions as they occur. Then using 3-foot lifts, high quality recycled aggregate or sand is rammed to reinforce the weaker subgrade soils to increase lateral pressure and achieve a higher bearing capacity of 10 ksf and superior settlement capacity. With over 40-feet of installation depth and eliminating haul-off costs, the Geopier X1 Rammed Aggregate Pier® system is a great cost-effective solution to support heavy loads and settlement at sites to support footings and conventional slab-on-grade footings. Ultimately, the Geopier X1 system’s performance and flexibility make it the ideal solution for reinforcing clay, silt, and sands.
