The stiffer your hips are, the less mobility your body will have. This can result in pain in daily activities like sitting, walking and climbing stairs. Stiffness of hips can also cause an anterior tilt of the pelvis which results in poor posture and misalignment of the spine, head and neck as well as poor health of internal and vital organs.
There are links between the hips and emotions too. Most of traumas are hidden in the hips and hips are an area that holding the trauma.
Hip region is associated with the Mooladhara and Swadhishthan Chakra. These Chakras are house of human potential and creative energy. It is also linked with how we relate our emotions with others. Stiff hips can limit all these energies.
