A Squash and a Squeeze - Julia Donaldson

This book was requested by Preeti Lodha and her son. Now Julia Donaldson already has her own song for this book, but I can’t turn down a request especially if it’s a great book like “A Squash and a Squeeze.“ Once I looked at the book, I knew exactly the feel I wanted to create. I used a chord progression from the Israel Kamakawio’ole song “Maui Hawaiian Superman“ to give the song a bit of mystery. “A Squash and a Squeeze“ was written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.
