This is a Bald-Faced Hornet [Dolichovespula maculata] nest I cut down in the fall of 2010, it still had some workers in it but mostly newly hatched queens for next season. I kept the nest in a spare bedroom that I never used and hand fed them honey to build up their strength and then released them. The following clip is just a little bit of that.
