As you can see and hear in the video, this level has just outstanding click-sync. Hopefully, it goes without saying that the perfect synchronization of the music with your clicks helps A LOT in the game, and makes the experience more interesting and enjoyable.
So if you want to play the level yourself, I highly recommend you doing the following:
1. Replace the song file with the file attached in the first link of the description. (located in C:\Users\%your_username%\AppData\Local\GeometryDash and must be named )
2. Open MegaHack* and turn on Auto Music Sync in “Level“ tab. This is a VERY important step, without which I don’t recommend playing the level at all.
3. Start playing the level and try to click perfectly to the music (use my video for reference). You can turn on NoClip and do some practice runs if you want to. Try to pay more attention to the music than to the gameplay itself.
4. When you die, pay attention to why exactly you die: is it because you click too early or too late?
5. Open GD options menu, and go the last page. Just click the right arrow until you see the Music Offset (MS) setting.
If it looks like you’re clicking TOO LATE (which is more likely), change the offset setting to 15 or 25 and try to play. It’s best to playtest on Avi Lateo’s part with mini spider at 35%, it will be most convenient that way.
If you’re still dying from clicking TOO LATE, set the offset value to 30 or 40.
Repeat the playtesting process until you notice that when you click perfectly to the music, your clicks fall perfectly on the centers of the orbs and pulse effects. (once again, use my video for reference).
6. If for some reason you die from clicking TOO EARLY, you can try putting a negative offset value, but note that GD doesn’t handle negative numbers very well, and anything outside of -50 just won’t make any difference, I don’t know why.
If you can’t type “-“ in the offset value box, turn on the “Character Filter“ setting in your MegaHack.
For this verification my offset value was set to 18, so if your “perfect“ offset will be something between 20-45ms, you know you’ve probably got it right.
* Make sure you have MegaHack version 7.1 or newer. Versions 7.0 or older have a bug where Auto Music Sync does not take Music Offset into account and sets it to 0. So everything described above will have no effect if you have MH version 7.0 or older.
Thank you and happy trolling!
