The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) says it has killed three senior commanders of Hamas’ Daraj-Tuffah Battalion in airstrikes on Oct. 26. The IDF says it killed the battalion’s commander Rifaat Abbas, deputy commander, Ibrahim Jadba and combat support commander Tarek Maarouf. According to IDF, this battalion is considered the most significant brigade of Hamas and its operatives played a key role in Oct. 7 attacks. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said the West is disregarding the human rights violations in Gaza because “the blood being spilled is Muslim blood”. Erdogan said Israel’s attacks on Gaza had turned into “barbarism” and criticised the West for providing unconditional support to Israel.
