Legrand’s stirring composition is best known as the theme to the 1971 Emmy-winning TV movie “Brian’s Song“. Lyrics by Alan and Marilyn Bergman. Legrand, a prolific composer and arranger of countless movie soundtracks, also was a brilliant jazz and concert pianist.
