BROMDIHYDROCHLORPHENYLBENZODIAEZIPNE’s second voice is the one and only Tapefuzz shown with its autoswell mode engaged in this clip.
Tapefuzz is a real weirdo, first of all it is technically a digital fuzz as your signal gets digitized before it arrives at the internal compander circuit responsible for adding a lot of gain while maintaining the active gating.
It gates pretty heavily while having a really nice sustain, a weirdo indeed.
Not all chips work this way so every Tapefuzz has a handpicked sturdy one, after all it also works at a very maximum datasheet voltage.
This clip was recorded in line on a telecaster bridge single coil through Tapefuzz voice with autoswell on and two other voices off.
Autoswell is very primitive here but also very sensitive to how what and how hard you play. Just a toggle switch to turn it on and off, the rest is literally in your hands.
