Tyre Buffing

The tyres we run in Formula Vee have quite a deep tread and so it’s quite common to have them buffed. Rather than pay for each set to be buffed, we decided to have a go and see whether we could build a rig to buff them ourselves, then set about buffing a set of tyres. How to Build a Racing Car follows the design and construction of the FVT05, a car built for the Australian Formula Vee racing series.
