Scarless TransUmbilical Millin Prostatectomy

In this video we present the Scarless TransUmbilical Millin Prostatectomy, STUMP, thecnique, pure laparoscopic. We used a single-port device, Gelpoint, Applied Medical, California, USA, that results from a modified smaller Gelport, Applied Medical, California, USA, already utilized in previous study of feasibility of robotic suprapubic transvesical enucleation of the prostate, R-STEP. This platform requires a smaller access incision, 3-4cm, in the umbilicus, provides a secure and multichannel access, that allows to perform the surgery and easy extraction of large enucleated adenomas. With an additional 5mm port, used for retraction purposes, and where at the end of the procedure, the drain is placed. This thecnique, a virtually scarless surgery, represents an option for men with symptomatic large adenomas, who have an aesthetic concern about scars.
