A lot of people complain that baking in blender is slow (and they’re right) so here is a quick tutorial on setting up a bake that won’t hijack your computer for the next 24 hours. We’ll just be baking a procedural texture to an image on the same object. The key settings are to set your tile size to the size of the image you are baking onto and to drop cycles’ Render Passes down to 16.
Hope this helps someone!
