Russian EMERCOM divers clear WWII explosives from Black Sea

Russian Emergencies Ministry (EMERCOM) teams searched for and disposed of WWII-era shells from the bottom of Gilzova Bay in Sevastopol. A powerful underwater explosion was observed as specialists conducted a controlled detonation of some of the munitions. One of the Ministry officials stated that the divers have found and successfully destroyed over 12,000 explosive remnants from the Great Patriotic War era during the last three years of such operations.
