Fred Frith. Фрагмент из фильма Step Across the Border, 1990.

From the 1990 film Step Across the Border, directed by Nicolas Humbert and Werner Penzel. Interestingly, Fred Frith’s band Keep the Dog were playing a bunch of motifs related to Nirvana for Mice and Norrgarden Nyvla, as well as a portion of Frith’s direct communication between nature and music (birds and violins) that’s just a bit impossible to be cut out as it’s tied there together. I’m afraid you’d have to watch the whole thing. This excerpt was recorded at Roulette, New York City, February 1988, and Yorkshire and Brixton, England, December 1988. Pursuant to US copyright laws, this falls under fair use as this upload serves as a catalyst for potentially starting a discussion within the field of avant-garde, experimental music; displays only an extract from the film and is subjected to commentary.
