Comedy song about married life probably filmed in the Pathe Studio. Full title reads: “Now Pathe Pictorial presents Leslie Weston the Cheery Chatterbox of . and Variety fame. At the piano Jean Melville.“ Leslie reads a letter from his father saying that he has no objection to him marrying a chorus girl. He then sings a song about what life is like when you are married. Lots of sexist jokes about how pretty girls are useless and good cooks are ugly. The sentiment seems to be that marriage is rotten for men - you lose all your money, your wife will worship Douglas Fairbanks instead of you, divorce is a good thing, you’ll only be happy when not at home, buying a home isn’t worth it, etc. But it isn’t done in a nasty way - Leslie smiles all the way through!
