Professor Balthazar - The Night Watchman - S2E1 (eng)

The story of Professor Balthazar begins back in 1967 with the film The Shoe Inventor based on the idea of ​​Zlatko Grgić, who worked on the screenplay with Borivoj Dovniković. It is a story about a benevolent scientist, who solves the problems of his fellow citizens with a miraculous liquid from his unusual laboratory, which is actually the fruit of his reason and imagination. After the great success of the first film, the realization of further sequels with a somewhat modified character identity began. A permanent line-up of authors was formed: Zlatko Grgić, Boris Kolar and Ante Zaninović, with a beautiful scenography by Zlatko Bourek and recognizable music by Tomica Simović. By 1977, a total of 59 episodes were filmed with the active participation of numerous representatives of the Zagreb cartoon school, such as Zdenko Gašparović, Pavel Štalter, Milan Blažeković and others.
