New 1,817-hp Hennessey Venom F5 (w/ startup)

A new white Hennessey Venom F5 starting up and leaving South OC Cars and Coffee at the Outlets at San Clemente. Built by Texas-based Hennessey Special Vehicles, the $2.1 million Venom F5 features a carbon fiber monocoque chassis and carbon fiber exterior body panels and weighs 2,998 pounds (1,360 kg). It is powered by a bespoke twin-turbocharged V8 “Fury“ engine producing 1,817 horsepower and has a claimed top speed of 311 mph, which Hennessey plans to achieve and verify. This recently completed example is number five of 24 Venom F5 coupes being built, all of which have already been sold. An open-top F5 Roadster, with a production run of 30 units, is scheduled to make its debut on August 19 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering during Monterey Car Week.
