Vintage Metabo Hand Cranked Bench Grinder Restoration
This little grinder was made in West Germany, and was available in the U.S. through Woodcraft, until 1986. Genko first made them, though they were bought out by Metabo, I have seen the same castings with both nameplates. James Krenov, Hans Weisshaar, and many other fine craftsmen used this style of grinder. The gears are tight, and the ratio is what makes this such a fine grinder. With some imagination, this grinder can be useful for grinding nearly any type of edge tool.
