When not acting on stage and screen Mickey is widely known as the brightly quixotic Captain Justin Kase of the Pirates in Technicolor and the Pirates of the Sea Monkey. The Pirates of the Sea Monkey are an edutainment group of scallywags that invade schools to teach the importance of reading through interactive assemblies. With his wife The Pirates in Technicolor share their love and aesthetic of Golden Age Hollywood piracy at festivals.
