One person was particularly excited about the start of the season on Swiss soil: Mathias Flückiger from Madiswil BE, who has not been allowed to take part in any races since the 2022 World Cup. Shortly before the start in Gränichen, he announced on social media how much he was looking forward to his comeback on Swiss soil. For the women, the starting position for an exciting race could not have been better. With Jolanda Neff (Trek Factory Racing XC) and Linda Indergand (Liv Factory Racing), two of the three Swiss Olympic medal winners from Tokyo 2020 were at the start. And with Alessandra Keller from Nidwalden, who had consistently presented herself among the best in the world last season, there was another Swiss contender. Alessandra Keller didn’t get involved in any discussions, she pulled away after the second lap and never gave up her top position. She felt good and because the race seemed “relatively slow“ to her at the beginning, she made it more active and delivered a perfect race in which no driver could follow her. “This start to the season makes me confident for everything that is to come. And that I can improve my form even further,“ said a satisfied Alessandra Keller at the finish after her one-woman show. Second went to Nicole Koller (Ghost Factory Racing), more than a minute behind, followed closely by Jolanda Neff, with Linda Indergand again more than half a minute later. #SwissBikeCup More info: Production: Upstream Media AG BTT Lobo Website: Do you want featured your videos?
