Why I use Patreon to support this channel:
I love the firearms community and am thrilled to be able to give back to it by way of producing content for it. I want to both continue my pace of content production as well as improve its quality, all while adding to its diversity (shooting for accuracy videos, destructive target testing, high speed / slow motion, etc).
Appearances aside, I am not just some rich guy with a ton of guns. I had a good job and ideal set of circumstances for a few years that allowed me to invest heavily in building up a sizeable collection. Those circumstances are changing, and now I am turning to the community to help continue to make this channel exciting and successful. Your help and support are greatly appreciated.
All funds received by YouTube (very insignificant as firearms videos are largely demonetized) and by supporters via Patreon are to be reinvested into this channel in the following ways:
- Purchase and import of new feature firearms/gear: Being in Canada, it is often difficult for manufacturers/distributors to send me firearms for testing and review. Instead, I often have to purchase them personally, and in some cases even import them into the country.
- Ammunition: It takes funds to run the guns enough to be able to get a good overall impression for an accurate review.
- Production value: I am always looking to add better camera and lighting gear to be able to improve the final product you see.
- Range and targets: from more static steel targets, to future destructive target testing.
- Travel to distributors/manufacturers/industry shows to get the content on the latest and greatest
Part 1 is a shooting video and Part 3 is a full field strip and review of internal components of the MCR.

Overview video of the totally badass Fightlite MCR. This is the refined model of the original Ares Shrike. Fightlite Industries has perfected this design over a number of years, and I will give it my personal seal of approval. My POV Shooting video shows the first shots fired out of this gun and it ran flawlessly. I have a few friends that also own this firearm and their reports have all been 100%. It is recommended that 62grain rounds are used, however this functioned great with the 55grain fmj’s I fed it in this video.
I have to quickly state that achieving a suppressible, full auto capable, belt and mag fed AR15 rifle was no minor feat. This gun is referred to as the Saw Killer for a reason as it comes in at half the weight and half the price of a FN m249, yet features the same capabilities. It has a quick change barrel system, RELIABLY feeds from mags and belts, and as an added bonus you get the super ergonomic AR15 controls. While the side charging (non reciprocating) upper limits the use of stocks that allow unrestricted movement of the charging handle, there are still a ton of options, such as the Ace Socom M4 stock I am running on mine. You can also swap out any grip of your choice.
In my opinion, this is one of the best innovations to come out of the firearms industry in the past 5 years, and is seriously one of the most badass guns a civilian can own. The lower is simply a mil-spec AR15 lower, the upper is where the magic is at. While the Fightlite MCR lower is a quality and aesthetically pleasing unit, you can swap it out with any lower of your choice. The Fightlite upper will fit on any mil-spec AR15 lower provided you install the included low profile bolt catch. As the upper is wider, a standard bolt catch will prevent you from hinging the upper closed on the lower. The bolt catch on my gun does not feature a release, though Fightlite does make a version of the bolt catch with a canted forward release paddle, so you can still get the full functionality out of your Fightlite upper.
The optic used on this firearm is the Elcan Specter DR 1x4 power. These are seriously insane optics, personally my favourite combat optics. The transition between the low and high power magnification is slick and fast. They are built like tanks, and have been long tested in real military conflict. Both optics are available through Armament Tech.
I have 2 other videos on the MCR, one is a POV Shooting video and the other is a Field Strip video. Please check them out for more information on the MCR.
I am a Canadian gun owner and am licensed to own this restricted class firearm. It was shot on a RCMP approved range.
