(25 Dec 1976) During a televised meeting in the Kremlin CHilean Communist Party leader Luis Corvalan made his first public appearance and produced a show of emotion from Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev. According to diplomat sources, Brezhnev was the man who insisted on the exchange between Soviet dissident Vladimir Bukovsky and Corvalan.
