Anthy Himemiya: Hand in Unlovable Hand

Footage: Revolutionary Girl Utena Song: No Children by The Mountain Goats My entry for Vexercises second challenge: Visual Continuity. Basically the idea was to focus on match-on-action cuts and graphic matches, and while I felt I was still a bit too devoted to lyrical matches, ever since I heard this song, I knew I wanted to make an RGU video with it, just for those last 20 seconds. Aside from the focus on hands I tried to show a lot of Anthy and Utena mirroring each other, falling victim to the same man’s abuse and how she feels like she can’t do anything to stop it except pull her further down.
