Dartfrog Hybrid Research; Frog & Butterfly Mimicry

On September 20, 2016, while on the Black Jungle Adventure Tour (Peru) 2016, tour guide Josh Richards took the group to visit his personal friend, Dr. Matheau Chouteau Ph.D at the Tarapoto Frog & Butterfly Research Center. Once I was made aware that Dr. Chouteau’s research included the hybridization of dart frogs, I took the opportunity to conduct an impromptu interview. Dr. Chouteau explained the parallel in mimicry between dartfrogs and butterflies, and how he was researching the cause for the mimicry. Dr. Chouteau joined the group for dinner later that evening and further explained his research. The video was recorded on a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and edited in Adobe Premier Pro CS6.
