Russia banned from 2018 Winter Olympics
Russia has been banned from the 2018 Winter Olympics by the International Olympic Committee. The decision comes after the committee found that Russian officials engaged in widespread doping and tampered with test samples. While Russia will be banned, clean athletes from the country will still be allowed to compete as neutrals.
