Jorge Glem and Sam Reider have built an oasis halfway between Brooklyn and Cumaná. A one-of-a-kind place in the world that combines not just two cultures, but two artistic expressions that have never merged before. The Venezuelan virtuoso, Grammy-nominated cuatrista and founding member of the acclaimed musical ensemble C4 Trio and the multi-talented American accordionist, pianist, composer and leader of the band The Human Hands created an album that uniquely embodies this extraordinary musical and cultural fusion. The much awaited premiere album was released in November of 2022 with a repertoire that includes Venezuelan merengue, joropos and other traditional Venezuelan rhythms alongside original compositions drawing on American jazz and roots music. Brooklyn-Cumaná is a compelling experiment that will captivate the heart while at the same time entice the body to get up and dance.
