C/U of her picking up a glass and placing it onto a pad which rinses it. She then places it under a nozzle. M/S of her getting some money out of her handbag. She places money in a slot and liquid is poured into the glass which she then drinks. C/U of another machine. She feeds money into a slot to obtain some “Herrings in Aspic“ (yuc!) The contraption turns and the woman takes out her plate of food. Another machine is shown, choices are “Anchovy“ or “Pressed Beef“ - she chooses the latter. We then see the woman sitting at a counter eating her sandwich. She smiles at the camera. “Pay your money and take your choice! (What a blessing this would be at home!)“ C/U of machine dispensing “Cods Roe“ sandwiches for 6d.
