The Backrooms have been all the rage for the past year or so, and the horror game variants always deliver the right amount of scare to the urban classic. And here comes Alban Knox to face his fears as he goes in head first into “The Classrooms.“ After going into a room and finding out a doll is now on the loose as a monster to avoid, Alban goes adrenaline and goes into flight mode screaming his head off despite not seeing the doll. Thing is, when the doll does appear is when his flight response really kicks in. But after noticing the doll freezes whenever he stares at it, he becomes smug, calls the doll an idiot, and after playing a game of red light green light with it, lowers his guard. Bad mistake. Because in the next moment he’s screaming because of another entity. Game rewinds from the beginning and Alban has to ask himself: is the doll still chasing him? Evidently, yes. Lesson of the day: Don’t get smug in a horror situation, because that leads to karma.
