This film was shot in various locations: Gulf of Mexico at Corpus Christi Bay, Michigan, Eddystone, Pennsylvania, Canton, Ohio, Houston, Texas, Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Chicago. The film shows an oil rig in the sea at 0:58. The narrator says “for every barrel of oil brought to the surface, a pound of steel has had to be invested in the form of equipment” at 1:00. A petroleum drill is shown from the Gulf of Mexico at Corpus Christi Bay at 1:19. The Emsco building is shown, and the narrator says they are the one foremost manufacturers of equipment at 1:29. The film shows the process of converting the raw steel into machinery used for oil and petroleum conversion at 1:44. They use old locomotive parts for oil-well pumping units at 2:09.
