Mithrandir (Finland) — Towards the Spires of Dol Guldur — 2023 full length

The debut of this Finnish duo. Despite being a fantasy themed black metal act, it does so in a quite harsh way, even if there are occasional dungeon synth passages and fusions into black metal. However, these are quite few and do not negate at all the aggressiveness of their music since the composition does not rely too much on harmonious melodies, as other compatriots. Just on the last track, we can see the typical Finnish melodicism. A remarkable start for this duet!
