Cheeseburger! π
Happy national Cheeseburger day!!
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs 80/20 ground beef divided into 8 even balls.
salt and pepper to taste
oil
8 slices of American or Cheddar cheese
Lettuce
Sliced tomato
2 onions sliced
4 burger buns
2 Tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic
2/3 cup mayo
1/4 cup ketchup
3 Tbsp mustard
1/4 cup chopped pickles
In a pot, over medium heat, add butter. Once melted and hot, add sliced onions. Season with salt and a pinch of sugar. Cook for 20-30 on medium low heat, stirring occasionally until deeply caramelized. Then add garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Keep warm.
In a small bowl, add mayo, mustard, ketchup, pickles, salt and pepper. Mix well until combined. Set aside.
In a griddle pan, over medium heat, add butter. Once melted and bubbly, toast your buns until golden on cut sides.
