It is removed from an annealing oven by men pulling on chains. It is to be used at Mount Wilson observatory after 3 years of grinding and polishing. In Vienna, Austria, orphaned boys at a state modern school read books in a library and work on arts and crafts in classrooms and outdoors. Some boys are making wooden canoes and hang-gliders (?). Others do woodwork and sculpture in workshops. Another works on a large mural. We then see the boys swimming in an indoor pool. In New York, United States of America, we see various shots of men working to weatherproof the towers of the George Washington Bridge at a height of 635 feet.
