The Flower Girl was featured in the comedy film Dumb and Dumber starring Jim Carey. The Rain, the Park & Other Things in 1967 (Remastered) are performed by The Cowsills. The Flower Girl was co-written by Artie Kornfeld and Steve Duboff for their 1967 album The Cowsills. The single reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The hippie, sunshine pop-rock song was originally titled The Flower Girl but was changed to The Rain, the Park & Other Things so as to not be confused with Scott McKinzie’s San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair). The renamed title has no lyrics in the song. From the Hair rock musical, the title song Hair also peaked at #2 for The Cowsills in 1969, their most popular single.
