STORY: Modern-day descendants of a mystical bloodline are hunted by an ancient evil hell-bent on using their life force to unleash his banished army on the world. The project was conceived and produced by a team of film school students in Chicago with the help of a local production company in early 2007. Produced before cosplay and fan-films became ubiquitous amongst the #RangerNation fandom, Celestial Fury was created as the filmmaker’s set-up story to adapt the Mahou Sentai Magiranger source footage — introducing their approach to a team of Rangers [“Furies“] and the “What If” premise of the series that could have followed.
