BODYWORK/TRIM One can’t help but smile when they look at a Camaro this cool. Assembled in Norwood, Ohio, it’s everything car guys dream of from the first time they say ÐÍ*muscle carÐÍ* to the day they trade their high octane V8 for an electric rascal motor. Decked in custom Emerald Green 2-stage, and displaying a traditional array of Yenko Super Car stripes, this Chevy is the product of a detailed, ground-up restoration that was completed in 2012. Its profile is a carefully orchestrated combination of excellent panel gaps, doors that close better than new, and a flat finish that stretches from tip to tail. And presently, a mere 160 miles out of the paint booth, this Chevy is one high quality head turner which sets the standard for any pony car that dare show its face at the same cruise night. ENGINE Lift this Chevy’s glossy hood and you’ll find a date-correct 427 that’s been restored to a highly detailed, show worthy appearance. At the top of the hot block, oxygen flows from a polished and decaled air cleaner in to a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and date-correct Winters intake. At the sides of that intake, stamped and chromed valve covers hang multi-color Yenko decals above date-correct Winters rectangle-port heads. At the back of those covers, a rebuilt points distributor sends fire through familiar Packard TV R Suppression cables, which snake around date-correct exhaust manifolds. Opposite that distributor, traditional V-belts spin a date-correct crank pulley and date-correct water pump pulley behind a date-correct fan blade. And cooling is provided by a 4-core heavy duty radiator, which funnels water through reproduction GM hoses and fresh tower clamps. DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION Behind that mill, a date-correct Muncie, equipped with an 11-inch, date-correct bellhousing, to spin a date-correct rear end around gears and a posi-traction differential. That drivetrain rides in a restored double A-arm front and solid axle rear suspension, which features factory power steering, and power front disc and rear drum brakes. A thrill-inducing soundtrack fills big pipes, an H-shaped crossover and a welded, dual-chamber muffler. And at the corners of the chassis, American Racing Torq Thrust Ds spin 215/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As in front of 225/70R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/As. INTERIOR Inside this pristine tribute, it’s 100% Camaro, and that’s always a good thing! Correct Midnight Green upholstery features a simple, driver-oriented feel that just can’t be matched by today’s technology-laden cockpits. And bold ÐÍ*YSCÐÍ* headrest decals provide just the right amount of detail to elevate an already impressive appearance to a whole new level. In front of the driver, a good looking dash hangs beautifully restored telemetry above small accessory gauges, a correct Delco radio and a Sunpro Super Tach II. Below that dash, a wood-trimmed console traces a chrome-capped Hurst shifter. And the driver stays connected through a traditional rosewood steering wheel. If a Super Sport is just too ordinary, and you really dig the magical appeal of that storied 4, 2, and 7 number combination, this high quality Yenko is just what you need. Call, click or visit and let this awesome Super Car show you exactly what instant gratification is all about!
