Cirroteuthid Octopus dances elegantly 1600-meters deep
This entertaining octopus measures an estimated long. It was spotted dancing while researchers were exploring Southwest Baker Island in the Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument.
Cirroteuthid octopuses often swim or drift near the seabed at depths of over 2,000m where light does not penetrate the cold waters.
