Wishbone Caricatures (1937)

Full title reads: “Wishbone Caricatures!“ Newquay, Cornwall. Mr. Wighting (Whiting) makes quirky models of famous personalities out of wishbones and clay. Various shots of Mr. W., in his artist’s studio, doing a charcoal sketch on an easel. The sketch is a cartoon representation of George Bernard Shaw. Extreme C/U of pile of wishbones on table. Mr. W. picks up a bone and sticks two lumps of clay on the ends, making it look like pair of bow legs and feet. He then adds another lump of clay as the head. He uses a scalpel to carve facial features into head. We see him looking up frequently, referring to the charcoal sketch. C/U of Mr. W. painting final details onto model. C/U of completed GBS model. Various C/Us of other models - Charles Laughton, Robertson Hare, Jack Hulbert, Claude Danpier?, Aubrey Smith, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.
