Magpie Glider - Slope Soaring Alula Attack

Lost the battle on this day. Reckon painting feathers on my Alula might not have worked in my favour. Another 5 knots may have turn the story ... or not. This Grassy Knoll is one of the three sites I fly down at Hallett Cove, South Australia. Works on a light WNW to SW. It is a public space so it suits the gentler flyers on quieter days. Here’s a link to the televised version My favourite slope of the three is The Boardwalks to the north of the popular North slope. Works on a NW to WSW. Link to my first flight there on an early morning exploration. If you are looking to learn to fly check out the Southern Flying League.
