Rumba clave represents the folkloric side of Afro-Cuban music and recently has become a familiar sound in popular music as well. Listen carefully for the delayed eigth note on the three side of the beat. Learning where it goes might be the easy part, really “feeling“ where it belongs can take a fair amount of time, so practice, pracitce and more practice is required.
