Will the difference be as much as you would think? While both chips are built using the 22nm process, the Haswell-E chips have a newer architecture which include avx2 instructions and have a higher core count and support for ddr4 quad channel memory. This helps them pull ahead of the ivy bridge cpu which only supports avx1 and ddr3 in dual channel. Although the single core performance of the oc’d 3770k leaves those stock chips a run for their money in single threaded tasks, they leave the 3770k in the dust with workloads using more than 8 threads! - especially when overclocked! 🔥 NOTES: The stock cpu columns are with the motherboard at default settings. The RealBench video doesn’t display for the 3770K for some reason. The “Done“ messages are not aligned properly sorry.
